This event will be held during Small Business week in the spirit of celebrating business in the Bow Valley.

The Bow Valley Chamber of Commerce will honour the achievements of Lake LouiseBanffCanmoreKananaskisMorley and Exshaw businesses and entrepreneurs who have made outstanding contributions to the continued growth of our economy.

Young Entrepreneur Award (new for 2018!)

The Young Entrepreneur Award recognizes outstanding achievement by young entrepreneurs, less than 35 years of age. The award is given to the business that best exemplifies the qualities of effective leadership, innovatively applied know-how, and excellent potential for growth, shows a high level of social, cultural, and environmental awareness and has demonstrated commitment to the wider community; and engages in continuous learning or other improvement opportunities designed to advance the economic, social, and environmental prospects of the enterprise.

The winner will be announced at the October 18th awards ceremony!

  • An independent selection committee (non-Board Members only) will review all submissions and choose finalists and winners.
  • Nominees may be any business, including not for profit businesses, operating in the Bow Valley.
  • All Bow Valley businesses are eligible for nomination, however finalists must be members of the Chamber in good standing to be considered for an award - 2017 nominees, finalists and winners are eligible for 2018 awards, but do need to be nominated again.
  • Bow Valley Chamber of Commerce Board Members are not members of the selection committee.  While their businesses are eligible for nomination, the current Board Members have decided to decline any nominations, and celebrate any such recognition privately with their business teams.
