Nominations for the 2018 Business Excellence Awards - NOMINATE TODAY!

Nominations Close On September 15th

Community Support

Whether you are in a small town or a larger city, making a small business work is all about creating a community which helps promote and support you. That community could be the entire Bow Valley or a small group focussed on a particular cause or business sector.  By asking our community to support you in your nomination, they will help raise awareness of both your business and the reasons why you are nominated for that award.

Increased Awareness

In the words of Oscar Wilde: “The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about.”

The 2018 BEAs expects a group of 200 people, this does not include the 400 + people on the newsletter database and the hundreds of followers on social media channels. Increased awareness can only help your business in the Bow Valley. Whether you win an award or not, being nominated will help get your business's name out there!

Bringing New Business

Awards can be a great way to increase your market share and expand awareness of your business.

The media attention can bring your business new customers, locally and potentially province-wide. The whole point of creating awareness for your business is to hopefully gain new customers and increase your revenue. We hope the 2018 BEAs can help your company bring NEW business.

Winning an award is a team effort, and being part of that winning team will give your staff something to be proud of. Taking time to look at what you have achieved in your business can make you feel proud and motivated for the future. It's a reason to celebrate and push harder down the road!

Peer Validation

The 2018 BEAs offers the following categories: Community Impact, Customer Service, Innovation, New Business of the Year, Young Entrepreneur Award and Bow Valley Business of the Year through an online nomination process, and then an independent selection committee narrows it down to 3-5 finalists (ideally, one from Banff & Lake Lousie region and one from Canmore, Kananaskis, Morley & Exshaw region) and then select a winner to be announced at the Business Excellence Awards on October 18th. Only one business is chosen for Bow Valley Business of the Year for the entire Bow Valley. What more validation could your small business need?

A Great Experience!

And our final reason? It’s just a great experience!

With the luncheon planned for October 18, 2018 hosted by Silvertip, businesses from all around the Bow Valley gather to celebrate local small businesses, coincidentally falling on Small Business Week. This year, Sentator Black will be the keynote speaker for the event. Come celebrate small business with us, and purchase your tickets today
